La Sociedad Herbivora
This beautifully decorated and modern restaurant is located in the northern part of the historic city centre. It offers a complete vegan menu and the food is outstanding and delicious. It offers a wide variety of vegan dishes and shines with its excellent presentation of the dishes. The meals are excellent without exception and not too expensive for the high quality. The menu is not overloaded and the dishes are carefully selected. Inside the restaurant there is a plant terrarium, which is a real eye-catcher and invites you to soak up the atmosphere. This restaurant deserves attention and a visit when you are in Malaga. A top address for all vegans, vegetarians, but also meat eaters and never to forget, passionate cyclists ;)

Vegan-te la Siria
This small wonderful place is also 100% Vegan and a real insider tip with warm, super friendly and talkative hosts. This restaurant is full of love and passion. You can feel how much work and care is put into the dishes, which also tastes great. The dishes vary and are available depending on the daily business. A sign that everything is freshly prepared. There are seats indoors and outdoors in an area that is not really touristy and can be reached quickly by bike. A place for a perfect hummus, a burger or the best carrot cake in town! The prices are really reasonable and worth every cent. I can recommend everyone to visit the small lovingly managed restaurant. You will definitely not regret it.

Vegetariano El Calafate
The great vegetarian restaurant, located in a small side street in the middle of the city centre (near the church Los Santos Martires, which should also be visited), offers a daily changing 3 course menu for only 9.90 Euro with 4 to 5 choices for each course! Before the meal, even an appetizer is served additionally. The dishes on the menu are about 50% vegetarian and 50% vegan. The restaurant is probably the cheapest restaurant for the amount of food you get. It is lovingly decorated, the atmosphere is super relaxed and you can have a direct look into the kitchen if you want to see how your food is prepared. If you're going to eat there, take the Lemon Cake, it's definitely worth a sin! You won't go out hungry here, I promise you that!

El Vegetariano de la Alcazabilla
This restaurant is centrally located in Alcazabilla, a street that must be visited as a tourist in any case, as the Roman Theatre and the Alcazaba are located here. In the evening, the street with the impressive amphitheatre is very nicely lightened. The restaurant is located next to the public cinema Albinez (all films in original language with Spanish subtitles) and invites you with numerous outdoor seats. The food is of excellent quality and can be enjoyed in a cozy atmosphere. The seitan skewers were excellent, as was the paella. For the central location you pay a little bit extra, but still an excellent address to stop and take a break from cycling.

Astrid Taperia Organica
This restaurant is not purely a vegetarian restaurant, but let me explain you why it should not be left out from the list. The concept of the restaurant is oriented around the concept of organic, ecological and seasonal food. That of course does not rule out meat – the restaurant has it on its menu, but majority of dishes are vegetarian. Focus on seasonal and ecological food is obvious from the restaurant's menu: we have tried homemade garlic bread with smoked cheese and organic olive oil and homemade hummus from chickpeas and seasonal vegetables with bread sticks and they were delicious. If you are looking for original menu and high quality ingredients, this is the place. Prices range from 8 € to 15 € for a main meal and around 5 € for tapas. You can find the restaurant on Calle Calderon de La Barca 6, directly in the city center. Restaurant has a south-west orientation. Best for sunny lunch and afternoon snacks.
